How USA Basketball knocked out Spain


USA Basketball played his best against Spain, current World Champions. The Redeem team did a statement showing the entire world that they are definitely back. The Spanish team leaded by former All Star Pau Gasol struggled during the whole game. The game could have a revival this Sunday, in the gold medal match.
 
They final score (119-82) claims the American’s superiority. Let’s take a look at the keys of the game and how USA Basketball absolutely dismantled the Spanish Team.

The point guard position may be the most difficult to play in basketball.

In the modern game, the point guard obviously has to have great game vision. But moreover, he also has to be an athletic guy and a potential scorer.

Top PGs in the game are able to deliver the ball, provide help rebounding, and score when their team needs it. An outstanding point guard make his teammates better and absolutely changes a team.

Dallas Mavericks: Do They Still Have a Shot?


In 2006, the Dallas Mavericks completed their march to the NBA Finals. They reached to the final series after an impressive Playoff statement. Then they faced Dwayne Wade’s Miami Heat. Everything was rolling after the first couple of games played at Dallas. The team coached by Avery Johnson clinched both, and moved to Florida to close the Finals.

In the third game, the script was the same. With 6:31 to play in the fourth, Dallas was more than 15 up. But then, the lights turned off. Wade appeared as a genius, leading his team to an impossible victory. The Mavs didn’t overcome the upset, and the Heat won three more in a row, clinching his first NBA title.

Is the NBA Dominance Threatened by the New European Market?


Josh Childress, Carlos Delfino, Juan Carlos Navarro, Primos Brezec, Bostjan Nachbar, Jorge Garbajosa. What do these guys have in common?

They have rejected their future in the NBA, taking the option to play in Europe next seasons. The strength of the Euro, the weakness of the dollar and the economic power of many European teams is changing the dynamic. Some clubs can compete with the NBA in salaries and players look now to the old continent as a reliable option.

This is disturbing the NBA operation, but, is this new trend a real threat to the NBA dominance?
