Now that the season is over, it’s time for some teams to rebuild. Their weak points have been exposed as they failed to win during crucial situations. It is not their fault that they lost. It’s just that they lacked better players in key positions. Thus, opponents used this knowledge to their advantage. They made plays that were designed to maximize the mismatch on the positions. Therefore, the weaker teams lost and the stronger teams won. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, each bearing the number 1 position in the East and West, rolled over their conferences by making the right adjustments. Eventually, Boston won due to the better offensive weapons the team has. |

Happy days have come once again to the town of Boston as their homegrown Celtics squad has won its 17th NBA Championship. Counting on their new Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, the Boston Celtics now stand proud atop the rest of the league. They were compared to the past Celtic greats and now they are among the ranks of these hallowed men. It is simply memorable for the Big Three as they gained their championship – the first one in their entire career – by beating the Los Angeles Lakers, the absolute archrival of the Boston Celtics team. |

There are no easy wins and no easy championships in this year’s NBA Finals. Down 3-1, the Los Angeles Lakers mustered enough strength to force a Game 6 against the Boston Celtics. Their 103-98 win gave them a fighting chance to still win the title. However, they will be facing stiff competition from the Celtics who now play on their home court. It will be another memorable game but for today, the Lakers are happy that they have won. The Lakers successfully defended their court on Game 5. They were proud enough to not give the last laugh to the Celtics by winning the championship on their turf. |

In this year’s highly-contested NBA Finals, there is no such thing as a safe lead. A team can be down by more than 20 points and still win in the end. This dramatic comeback has been shown by the Boston Celtics as they rallied from 24 points down and win against the Los Angeles Lakers, 97-91. It was embarrassing for the Lakers as they tried to defend their home court. Now, they are on the brink of losing the championship as the Celtics grabbed a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven series. The Celtics – led by the Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen – need one more win to become this year’s best team. |

It seemed like the only thing that has been keeping the Los Angeles Lakers from winning in the NBA Finals is the crowd support. In Game 3, they finally got all the cheering they needed as they won against the Boston Celtics 87-81. It was an important victory for the Lakers as they managed to get themselves out of a slump for a 2-1 series, although it is still in favor of the Celtics. The crowd was so into it that it seemed like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were still playing in the building. Even though the two legends are away from the game, the fans were still entertained by the best players in the league today. |

The NBA Finals is proving to be more exciting and more dramatic in each game. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers have shown the world why they both deserve to be in this situation as they provided the drama and suspense that basketball fans clamor in every game. Although the Celtics won Game 2 with a 108-102 score against the Lakers, the stat sheets will not be enough to show the events that transpired during the game wherein the team from Los Angeles managed to bring down a 24-point deficit to merely two points. This comeback is not as common in high-profile basketball matches. |

Boston's Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen can now add a new achievement to their illustrious careers: winning their very first NBA Finals game 98-88. All three have never even reached the NBA Finals - not even once. But now, after beating the Los Angeles Lakers in Game One, they are only three wins away from getting their first championship ring. There have been doubters and naysayers about their chemistry. Proving them all wrong, they have beaten the league's current MVP: the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant. Now, they need to do it three more times, which is not an easy thing to do. |

The Boston Celtics versus the Los Angeles Lakers match-up for this year’s NBA Finals has stirred up old rivalries but for some of these team’s players, it is a matter of the present times and its future consequences. They all know that they are going to be in for a hard fought battle thus it is important for them to retain their focus. For the Lakers, they will be adjusting their system to shut down the Celtics’ Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. Meanwhile, the boys from Boston are preparing a defensive approach that will limit the offensive threat of league MVP Kobe Bryant. |
