![]() For the Celtics, it was Paul Pierce who carried the offensive load on his shoulders. Pierce had 28 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds. His partners from their team’s Big Three also chipped in on the scoring end. Ray Allen, their proven outside threat, had 17 points and scored 3 out of 6 from the trey. Their man in the middle, Kevin Garnett, also had 17 points but was able to grab 14 rebounds. He also added a blocked shot which reflect on his stat sheet. The Big Three is still considered the ultimate threat to the Lakers organization and they need to find away to contain this offensive weapon. However, it was Boston’s bench that allowed the team to keep the Lakers at bay during Game 2. Leon Powe dropped 21 points and was pivotal during the middle stages of the match. Meanwhile, in the Lakers locker room, despair is seen in most areas. They knew they had the chance to stop the Big Three and tie the series at one win per team. The Lakers were still at the mercy of the Celtics. Even though they managed an impressive comeback, the Lakers were still no match for the role players of Boston. The series shifts to Los Angeles for Games 3 to 5. Fans of Kobe and the rest of the Lakers community are more accustomed to their home court. The Celtics will definitely feel the pressure but they are in good shape to overcome the hostilities. They have been through a lot and losing matches is not a welcome stat. The Celtics must stop Kobe at all costs since the Lakers’ offense revolves around this single man. He is a respected player in the league and is known for making very difficult shots.
