Cavaliers Lead 2-0 in Series Over Wizards

This is an interesting series.  Washington began the trash talking prior to game 1 of the series.  DeShawn Stevenson stated that Lebron James was "overrated".  It truly baffles me as to how a player of DeShawn Stevenson's stature could muster up the courage to make such a bold statement.  I commend Lebron James for not feeding into the verbal assault. If you are Washington and you're doing all the talking, the least you could do is come out and play solid basketball the entire series.  They haven't done that at this point.

As for this series, Game 1 was great.  Both teams played hard.  It was a tight game until the fourth quarter.  That's when Lebron took over the game. He was unbelievable down the stretch.  He simply would not be denied.  He hit jumpers, drove to the basket at will and played solid defense, while the Wizards failed to execute offensively and defensively.  Ultimately, Lebron's ability to take over late in the game was the deciding factor.

Game 2.

This game was decent for about 1 and a half quarters then Washington disappeared.  The lost it mentally, physically and emotionally. They were beat in just about every aspect of the game.  I've never seen such a terrible display by a basketball team in the playoffs.  Again, Lebron James was unbelievable.  He nearly recorded a triple double with 30 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds.  Washington simply did not have an answer for Lebron or his supporting cast.

This series has been extremely physical.  I really hope that both teams keep things clean.  At the end of the day, they are all regular guys who have families.  Staying healthy is important.
