KG and Company Display they’re Dominance on Big Mouth Bibby and the Hawks

Unless the Boston Celtics are going to face the Detroit Pistons in the second round, I don’t see Kevin Garnett and his boys struggling or getting a challenge from any team any time soon.

The series with the Atlanta Hawks is an absolute joke, like I have said before, I believe the Hawks will be a very talented team and a big threat in the Eastern Conference in the near future, but against the Celtics as of right now they don’t have even the slightest chance of taking down the eventual Eastern Conference champs. Not only do they not have a chance of winning this series, but they won’t win one game unless one of the big three goes down with an injury like Paul Pierce almost did when he collided with the Hawks Josh Smith.

Most people believe that the only reason for Boston’s new found success is because of their big three with Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce leading the way, but there are a lot more keys to their success than these three. Mainly it is because of the experience they have up and down their roster and some of the best role players in the game like Eddie House, Kendrick Perkins, Leon Powe and Glen Davis.

With experienced playoff veterans like James Posey (1 ring w/ Miami), Sam Cassell (2 rings w/ Houston) and PJ Brown the Celtics have solid backups to Pierce, Rajon Rondo and KG. All three of these guys have a lot of playoff experience and are proven clutch performers, especially Cassell who has been doing it his whole career.

You would figure going up against a very talented and absolutely stacked team from the starters to the bench that the Atlanta Hawks would be humble and not talk any trash, but go figure, somebody had to say something.

Usually it is the rookie or a young cocky big mouth player that thinks that he is bigger than the game that opens their mouth, but this time it was the one guy one the Hawks that actually has playoff experience and should no better, Mike Bibby. The Hawks were already huge underdogs coming into this series, but Bibby had to open his mouth by saying the Boston Celtics fans are “bandwagon jumpers” claiming that the Celtics have been non existent ever since the Larry Bird era (which I don’t disagree with), could be true, but I would say the timing was terrible as the Hawks were already in a 1-0 hole to the Celtics and now 2-0 after the 97-77 loss Wednesday.

Why give an obvious better opponent more firepower and motivation to beat you?

Makes no sense to me and now the Hawks have to try and come from behind to at home to beat quite possibly the best team in the NBA. Pretty stupid Bibby, pretty stupid.

Hopefully, for the Hawks sake, Coach Mike Woodson can straight his boys out and gag Mike Bibby for the rest of the series, then maybe the will come away with at least one win and some dignity.
