Hot Stuff: Phoenix Suns Sign Dragic, Bye Bye Barbosa?

The Phoenix Suns have announced Tuesday afternoon that they have signed second round draft pick Goran Dragic to a multiyear deal.

The Suns acquired Dragic from the San Antonio Spurs on draft night for the 48th overall pick (Malik Hairston), a 2009 second round draft pick, and cash.

It's no secret the Warriors are in desperate need of backcourt relief after Monta Ellis' injury.  This is evidenced by general manager Chris Mullin flying out to Chicago to view comeback hopeful Shaun Livingston in a private workout session.

Midway across the States, the Indiana Pacers are also in need of a few materials, primarily three-point shooting and an athletic power forward.

Taking these two requirements into account, I created a trade that both teams could benefit from.

Rookies and former college teammates Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur, were caught with possession of marijuana Wednesday night while attending the NBA's Rookie transition program camp.

The consequences of their actions: a $20,000 fine, public embarrassment, and a damaged public reputatuion before logging one official minute in their professional careers.

Mile High Mayhem: What To Expect From The Denver Nuggets


After an much anticipated offseason for the Nuggets, they once again disappointed loyal fans across the country.

An uneventful summer is heading towards a conclusion, and a beginning to the 2008-09 season is rapidly drawing near.

Unlike in my previous articles, I won't make any predictions and simply relax and watch the events occur.

Here is what I expect from the Nuggets in the upcoming months.
