Compare and Contrast: Why Gilbert Arenas Doesn't Deserve That Much Money


Many people have been arguing lately on whether or not Agent 0 is worth the large contract he just signed. Now, I'm not saying he isn't worth it, but if he is, shouldn't these players who are, well i don't want to say better but, more valuable be getting paid more money then him?

Arenas' contract averages out to 18.5 million dollars a year. Well if he deserves that should these players get more?

Dirk Nowitzky: 18.07 million

Paul Pierce: 18.07 million

Shawn Marion: 17.18 million

Ray Allen: 17.38 million

Michael Redd: 15.78 million

Amare Stoudemire: 15.07 million

Chris Bosh: 14.41 million

Lebron James: 14.41 million

Carmelo Anthony: 14.41 million

Dwayne Wade: 14.41 million

Now I am not saying all of those people are better then Arenas. (Which most of them are) But there is absolutely no way he is worth 4.1 million more a year then Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh!!! He isn't even close to being worth 2.4 million more then Amare Stoudemire let alone those other guys! But for some reason, he is getting paid bigger bucks then all of those players.

If Arenas is worth that much, teams better up the pay of these players.
