![]() Last season with the Hawks, Childress averaged 11.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.5 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.6 bpg, and 1.75 tpg. Childress was a key player on the Hawks squad as he played 76 games, playing about 30 minutes a game while never once starting. Evans started 47 of the 68 games he played with the Magic last season but didn't start any of the seven he played with the Lakers. He played about 24 minutes per game with the Magic but is expected to get a bit more playing time as a Hawk. Expect his minutes to be bumped up to about 30 (similar to Childress' playing time). Childress and Evans are very similar players as they are both very athletic, both run the floor hard, and are both rock hard defenders. I am guessing Childress will be more than a sixth man now that he isn't playing in the NBA. He probably left because he wanted to be the star. Evans should fit the bill to keep the Hawks as a bottom playoff team. Here are his stats from last season: 8.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.6 spg, 0.53 tpg. Evans agreed to a three-year contract worth about $7.5 million. Set as favorite Bookmark Comments
