Aaron Gray

Aaron Gray | 12.7.84 | Emmaus, Pa
Pittsburgh | Senior | C | 7'0 | 270
28.2 MPG | 13.9 PPG | 9.5 RPG | 1.5 A | 1.7 BPG | 0.548%FG

Strengths

Great size and strength...good scorer from the low block especially with a hook...tenacious rebounder who has a nose for the ball...decent passer who can find the cutter or the open man...is tough and has excellent character and leadership skills...is a pretty good defender due to his size and strength.

Weaknesses
Not athletic at all and struggles with mobility...will get caught out of position on screen and rolls due to his inability to keep up with more mobile bigs...not a good free throw shooter...can struggle against other bigs with his type of size and strength...won't be nearly as much of a shot blocking presence in the NBA due to his lack of quickness and athleticism.

Notes
Aaron Gray is obviously a half court type and with the evolution of the NBA, players with his lack of mobility can be easily exploited against teams with athletic bigs. Gray won't be a star in the league but will provide a skilled big body for a half court orientated team which is always welcome in the NBA and should ensure a first round selection after impressive junior and senior campaigns. A poor man's Andrew Bogut.

Draft Projection
Late First Round (25-30)
