Strengths

Jeff Green's versatility and selflessness are his two of his outstanding traits. He's an excellent passer and is particularly effective operating from the high post, can score well from the post with a variety of moves and also driving to the bucket. His basketball IQ is off the charts and with an excellent character, reminds some in this regard of Brandon Roy. Green rarely forces the issue and prefers to create or defer to his teammates but recognizes the time for him to assert himself as a scorer. His shot selection is impeccable and will have no problem not being a feature scorer in the NBA. He came through in time and time again last season whenever his team needed a big bucket except for the game against Ohio State in which he was relatively quiet on the offensive end attempting only 5 field goals. Green is an excellent rebounder and defender who plays with a ton of tenacity but is able to keep out of foul trouble. He is a decent shooter with an improved ability to hit three pointers but will need to keep working in this area for it to translate favorably in the NBA.

Weakness
Green's lack of explosiveness is his greatest weakness but he is faster than he appears as he never gives the appearance of being in a hurry. His shooting ability is decent but still has room for improvement especially in his consistency from midrange and beyond. Green still has plenty of room to improve as an athlete without losing his mobility and should do that in order to be able to play both SF and PF effectively. His numbers have been similar since his freshman season but the improvement is very visible when you watch him play.

Notes
The Big East player of the year, Green exploded onto the national scene as a junior with his play throughout the postseason. His game can be described as old-school and smooth and he has a bit of Boris Diaw and Lamar Odom in his game. Green may never be an All-Star or a superstar but will make the perfect sidekick.

Draft Projection
Mid-Late Lottery (8-14)
